In Meiji period, the number of Onsen Ryokan (hot spring hotel) increased rapidly for the development of railway, establishment of harbor and improvement in ground-digging technologies.
Since then, hot spring related facilities continued to flourish in the coming decades and Beppu became an integrated hot spring area with totally eight different sub-areas.
A hot spring festival is being held annually in April at Takegawara onsen, the symbol of Beppu onsen.
The festival is a big event for the whole city, and it is being held at the main street in front of the Beppu station, which is very close to our hotel.

We are open for short visits (no overnight stay), for those who aim to enjoy all eight Beppu hot springs and for those who don’t have enough time with us.
